Maharashtra: 15 security personnel killed in Maoists attack

Atleast 15 security personnel have been killed in Gadchiroli in Maharashtra aftera powerful explosion triggered by Maoists blew up the vehicle they weretravelling in. According to reports, it was an improvised explosive device(IED) blast.

Notably, Maharashtra is celebrating its foundation day today. Earlier, the Maoists torched at least 25 vehicles of a road construction company in Kurkheda area of Gadchiroli district.

Meanwhile, condemning the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "The perpetrators of such violence will not be spared."
