Mayawati-led BSP joins hands with Akhilesh’s Party

Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) to contest upcoming Lok Sabha election together.

In a joint press conference in Lucknow, BSP chief Mayawati said, "BSP-SP have decided to go together for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and it will be a new political revolution in the country.

Mayawati said that BSP to fight on 38 seats and Samajwadi Party (SP) on 38, two seats have been reserved for Congress. The two seats are Amethi and Rae Bareli.

She started the press conference, saying -"BSP chief Kanshi Ram and Mulayam Singh Yadav contested together and won the UP polls in 1993. The BSP is fully determined to follow in the footsteps of Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar."
