Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Maldives Parliament during his expected to the nation on June 7-8 next.

A resolution to invite the Indian PM Narendra Modi was passed unanimously by the House.

Maldives Foreign Minister, confirming the decision, on Wednesday tweeted, "Maldives Parliament has unanimously passed a resolution to invite PM @narendramodi to address a sitting of the House during his upcoming visit to the Maldives."

This will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first bilateral visit after assuming office for a second term.

Narendra Modi and his council of minister will take oath on Thursday (May 30, 2019).
