Parrikar’s last rites to be performed in Panaji today

The last rites of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will be performed on Monday evening with full state honours. The last rites will be performed at Miramar beach in Panaji at around 5 PM.

The 63-year old BJP leader died at his son's home in Panaji on Sunday evening. He was in an extremely critical condition and doctors were doing everything to save him.

According to reports, his mortal remains is being kept at the BJP office from 9:30 AM and thereafter, will be later taken to the Kala Academy for people to pay their last respects before his final journey.

The Centre has announced national mourning on Monday to condole passing away of Parrikar.
