PM Modi urges Indians to do ‘Yoga at Home’

Prime Minister NarendraModi on Thursday appealed to the nation to mark the 6thInternational Yoga Day at home with family while following all norms of socialand physical distancing.

PM Modi addresses thenation that Yoga day is celebrated through mass participation, however, thisyear it will be 'indoors'.

The theme for this year is "Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family".  The PM added, "The world is fighting COVID19 pandemic of a monumental scale but Yoga provides multi-dimensional solutions to the multiple challenges COVID19 has brought."

Yoga gives us an opportunity to know our immune system better, enables a strong mind and a healthy body. Yoga puts to test how one can live during challenging times, added the PM.

Yoga instills emotional strength and empathy and it eliminates many distances between the mind and body that is a serious cause for stress.
