Pulwama attack : Cabinet Committee on Security to meet in New Delhi

After the biggest ever attacks on the security forces by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), the Cabinet Committee on Security is meeting today to discuss the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Cabinet Committee on Security  includes the defense minister Nirmala Sitaraman, home minister Raj Nath Singh , external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and the finance minister Arun Jaitley. The CCS takes decisions on matters related to security and strategic affairs.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday night assured the country the attack in Pulwama would be avenged.

It is to be mentioned that the Militants from the Jaish-e-Mohammad blew up a CRPF convoy at Pulwama on the Srinagar-Jammu highway killing 44 CRPF jawans including a jawan from Assam.
