Two terrorists killed in J&K

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter at Shopiandistrict of Jammu and Kashmir between the security forces and terrorists. The encountertook place on Monday morning.

According to police, the encounter took place after a patrol party of the Rashtriya Rifles was fired upon by militants in Chitragam village of Shopian district.

Police also said that the fire was returned whichresulted in a brief shootout between the terrorists and the militants.

The police further informed that a patrol party ofRashtriya Rifles was fired upon today by militants travelling in a vehicle inChitragam village of Shopian district. The fire was returned resulting in abrief shootout in which the two terrorists were killed.

The militants who were killed in the encounter havebeen identified as Firdos Ahmad Bhat and Sajad Ahmad Dar who were residents ofKulgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

The internet service in the area has been suspendedfollowing the encounter.
