Unnao rape survivor wrote to CJI weeks before accident

At a time when the Unnao rape survivor's accident case has jolted India, simultaneously, it has come to light that the teenager had written a letter to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) stating that they are in grave danger, with their lives threatened.

According to a Supreme Court Official, "The CJI has asked the Secretary General to go through the letter written in Hindi for preparing a note of it for his perusal".

Several incidents that occurred between July 7 and 8 were mentioned in the letter written by the girl. As per the letter, some people, who have been alleged to be associated with Kuldeep Sengar, threatened the survivor's family.

The letter also requested the court to ask the police to file a case against the people who allegedly tried to intimidate them.
