Vikas Dubey Who Killed 8 Policemen Arrested

The notorious criminal Vikas Dubey, accused of killing eight policemen last Friday and otherwise charged in around 60 criminal cases, has been arrested in Ujjain, MP today.

The arrest, which came about after a week-long chase by the Police across three states, took place around the same time two of his accomplices were killed in two separate Police encounters in UP. Dubey's closest aide, Aman Dubey, was killed yesterday.

Earlier, eight policemen had lost their lives last Friday when they went to the Chaubeypur  area of Kanpur to arrest Vikash Dubey. The criminal, reportedly informed of the raid in advance, had set an ambush for the policemen.

He was on run after Friday's incident. He had a bounty of Rupees 5 lakh.
