13th SA Games: Gold count climbs to 27 on Day 3

Nepal has so far secured 27 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze medals in the 13th South Asian Games underway in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Janakpur.

In the latest results of the third day, Nisma Shrestha andRajesh Magar won the gold in Men's and Women's cycling downhill championship ofthe cycling event that has been included for the first time in SAG at SahidPark, Gokarna.

Anupama Magar grabbed a gold medal for Nepal defeating her Pakistani opponent by 6-3 in Kumite of Karate under the +68 kg category at Nepal Karate Academy in Satdobato, Lalitpur. Magar's opponent was a bronze medal winner in the 2018 Asian Games.

Similarly, Nepal's Deepak Hamal added a gold, winning in the all-round Nangun event of Taolu in Wushu defeating his Indian rival Saajan Lama at Army Physical Fitness Centre in Lagankhel, Lalitpur.

Hamal received a total of 19.32 points while Lama grabbed 19.17 points. With this, Nepal has won a total of 10 gold in Karate and three gold in Wushu.
