Asian Games Update: Day 4 review

On the fourth day of the Asian Games on August 22, Rahi Sarnobat gave India another Gold in shooting becoming the first Indian female shooter to win a gold at the Asian Games.  Sarnobat also achieved the rare feat after a nerve-wracking 25m air pistol finals.

India also bagged four Bronze Medals in Wushu on day four. Naorem Roshibina Devi, Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh and Santosh Kumar won bronze in the event.

In men's hockey, India defeated Hong Kong 26-Nil to break their 86 year old record of the biggest win margin. Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan ensured a medal for India as they reached the semifinals of the men's doubles category on Wednesday.

Prime Minister and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports have congratulated all the medal earners.

India is placed 7th in the medals tally with 10 honours, comprising 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze.  China with 65 medals, including 32 Gold tops the medals tally followed by Japan with 51 medals.
