The Faculty of Nursing, Assam down town University is set to host the 5th National Conference on June 27, 2025, under the theme “Workforce Development: Building Resilience and Retaining Talent in Today’s Health Care.” The day-long academic conclave will bring together distinguished experts, healthcare educators, and practitioners to deliberate on the urgent challenges and opportunities surrounding human resources in the healthcare sector.
The conference aims to explore vital aspects of workforce development—especially in the context of a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape—and will focus on themes such as resilience-building, strategic planning, skill enhancement, and retention of talent.
The event will feature keynote addresses by three eminent speakers:
Ms. Sai Bala Madathil, Nursing Director at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, will speak on “Strategic Workforce Planning and Skill Development.”
Dr. Bornali Das, Senior Lecturer in Psychiatric Social Work, Department of Psychiatry, GMCH, Guwahati, will deliver insights on “Talent Resilience and Well-being among Healthcare Professionals.”
Ms. Aniruddha Banerjee, Associate Vice President, HR & IR, Peerless Hospital & B K Roy Research Center, Kolkata, will present on “Talent Retention through Engagement, Recognition, and Career Pathways.”
The conference is expected to draw participation from nursing faculty, healthcare administrators, and nursing officers from across the country. It will also serve as a platform for young professionals and students through poster and paper presentations, promoting scholarly dialogue and professional development.
