Global K-pop phenomenon BTS is officially set to return as a full group in spring 2026 with a brand-new studio album and a world tour to follow. BTS Confirms Comeback Album for 2026
During a Weverse live session held on July 1, 2025, BTS reunited virtually with fans for the first time post-military service. The members announced that they would start working on a full-group studio album, aiming for a spring 2026 release.
“We’ll begin work on the new album starting this July,” said RM, the group’s leader. “It looks like the album will be released next spring. We’re also planning a world tour to celebrate its release.”
This marks BTS’s first full-length group album since BE in 2020 and the first major release since their anthology Proof in 2022.
US BTS Begins Album Work in the USA
On July 6, 2025, RM was spotted departing South Korea for Los Angeles, followed by Jimin, SUGA, and Jungkook the next day. According to Dispatch Korea, BTS plans to stay in the U.S. for two months, focusing entirely on album production and collaborating with international producers.

Ahead of the new album, BTS will release their first-ever live concert album, titled Permission to Dance on Stage, on July 18, 2025.
