A 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck Bangladesh and tremors were felt in Guwahati REPRESENTATIVE
A 5.4 magnitude earthquake jolted Guwahati on Monday. As per initial reports, the epicenter of the earthquake was at Kanaighat in Bangladesh. The earthquake occurred at around 8.19 pm (IST) and tremors were felt as far as in Guwahati as well as in Myanmar.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the epicenter was at a depth of 16 kilometers and at 25.02 N (latitude) and 92.13 E (longitude).
