The body was found by locals today morning who later informed Noonmati police.
The dead body is said to be of a male but his identity is yet to be ascertained.
Locals found the half-decomposed body in a deep jungle near Brahmaputra river. Investigation is underway.
It is to mention that severed legs of an unidentified woman were found dumped near Guwahati's Khanapara flyover on Saturday.
Till now, the identity of the woman and reason behind the suspected murder remains a mystery.
