A major fire broke out at 'Khaogali' in Dighalipukhuri area in Guwahati city on Friday night amid the city's flood fury, damaging at least three food shops there.
According to sources, a lithium battery apprently caused the fire that started at one of the food kiosks to spread to the other two, completely gutting one of them.
Fortunately, no incidences of injuries or fatalities were reported during the fast containment of the fire.
The tragedy spread panic throughout the locality.
