Matrimonial Service Scandal: Royal Weddings Hits Back at Ex-Employee
The management of The Royal Weddings Matrimonial Consultant, a matrimonial service provider, has categorically denied all allegations made by former employee Chhayasmita Senapati, terming them “false, fabricated and aimed at defaming the organization.”
Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Friday, the proprietors claimed that Chhayasmita , who had recently accused the company of harassment and non-payment of dues, was herself involved in misconduct, including data theft and spreading misinformation.
The company alleged that Chhayasmita stole sensitive company data by copying it onto a pen drive from their office systems and also took away the personal diary of the proprietor. "She has falsely claimed to have worked with us for a year. That is untrue," the management said.
Refuting the serious accusation of physical assault inside a locked room, the company stated, “No such incident ever took place. The claims are entirely concocted.”
The management further claimed that Chhayasmita is in a live-in relationship with one Rabul Hussain and that she confessed to stealing the data at his behest. “She admitted the act in his presence,” the proprietor alleged.
In a counter-narrative, the company also accused Chhayasmita of a history of misconduct, stating that she was previously terminated from a beauty parlour named ‘Massaj Parlour’ for alleged theft. “She is a divorcee and had been removed from her previous workplace for similar reasons,” the management said.
Additionally, the proprietors claimed that Chhayasmita ’s father had attempted to threaten them using political connections to prevent them from taking legal action. “Despite our unwillingness, we were compelled to lodge a police complaint. We are also initiating a defamation suit against her,” the management added.
The allegations of unpaid salary were also denied. “She has lied about not receiving her dues. The accusations are baseless,” the spokesperson said.
The company further alleged that both Chhayasmita and Rabul Hussain conspired to malign the firm’s reputation. “An influencer made a one-sided video based on her claims without verifying facts from us. This has caused significant damage to our reputation,” they said.
The The Royal Weddings Matrimonial Consultant also took aim at a self-proclaimed journalist using the surname ‘Karma,’ who claimed to be Chhayasmita ’s brother. “This individual circulated false information online and is not a verified member of the press,” the management claimed.
Responding to questions raised by journalist Gajendra Hazarika, the company clarified that Chhayasmita had availed of their services for ten months following her registration. “We had facilitated multiple meetings between prospective matches and families,” the management said.
Though a written complaint was submitted to the authorities by Chhayasmita , the company confirmed that no official FIR has been filed against them as of now.
Clarifying their internal protocols, the company stated that none of their staff members ever contact clients over the phone pretending to be family members of the bride or groom. “All communication is strictly carried out via email to ensure transparency and professionalism,” the management concluded.
