Assam: 5 Inmates, 3 Cops Injured As Prison Transport Collides With Truck

Five inmates and three police personnel were injured in a road accident at the National Highway 36 in Nagaon's 11^th mile on late Friday.

As per reports, the accident occurred after the prisoner transport vehicle collided with a truck while trying to overtake.

The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Two out of the eight injured are reported to be in critical condition.
