Assam: Drug Addict In Handcuffs Flee From Cop Custody

A youth who was arrested for possession of drugs in Assam’s Tamulpur district reportedly escaped from police custody with handcuffs still on.

The arrestee, who is a drug addict, managed to escape from the clutches of the police when he was brought to a hospital for medical check-up, sources informed.

The accused has been identified as one Juma Brahma.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to trace the accused.
