In a scathing attack on Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, APCC President Gaurav Gogoi said in his social media handle that Mr. Sarma should resign from the post of chief minister if he fails to protect the places of worship in Assam.
Taking to Facebook, Gaurav Gogoi wrote, “If the CM cannot protect the sacred places of worship like namghar, Satra, Doul, Devalaya, including temples, mosques, and churches, the CM should accept his failure and quit the post.”
Gogoi didn’t stop here, slamming Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. He added, “Moreover, the chief minister should respect his rank while addressing the media. He should speak, maintaining the sanctity of the Chief Minister’s chairs while passing on comments.”
“Commenting like a member of the troll brigade of the BJP loses the grace of his position”, Gogoi quipped the CM.
