Kokrajhar Court Awards Lifer To Man Convicted Of Raping, Murdering Teen

A Kokrajhar court in Assam in a special judgement sentenced a man to life imprisonment and slapped a fine on him after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting and murdering a minor girl.

The accused, Marcus Kujur was convicted by the court in connection with raping a minor girl and then killing her. The incident had taken place in 2021.

Apart from the life sentence, the court also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on the convict Marcus Kujur.
