Train Services Disrupted After Landslide Hits Lumding-Badarpur Line

Train services on the vital Lumding-Badarpur Hill section came to a halt after a major landslide occurred between Mupa and Dihakho stations in the Lumding Division of Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway, officials confirmed on Monday.

The landslide, reported at KM-51/1-2, has led to the suspension of train movement as large volumes of boulders and earth blocked the track. Restoration work is underway on a war footing to clear the debris and restore connectivity.

In response to the disruption, NF Railway has set up help desks at Guwahati, Lumding, Silchar, Badarpur, and Agartala stations to assist stranded passengers. Meanwhile, a series of train services have been cancelled, partially cancelled, rescheduled, or regulated to manage the crisis.

Trains Cancelled:

15615 Guwahati–Silchar Express (July 7 & 8)

15611/15612 Rangiya–Silchar–Rangiya Express (July 7 & 8)

15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express (July 8 & 9)

15617 Guwahati–Dullavcherra Express (July 7)

05638 Silchar–Naharlagun Express (July 7)

15618 Dullavcherra–Guwahati Express (July 8)

05637 Naharlagun–Silchar Express (July 8)

Trains Partially Cancelled:

15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express (July 7) will be short-terminated at Badarpur; service suspended between Badarpur and Guwahati.

12513 Secunderabad–Silchar Express (July 5) will be short-terminated at Guwahati; service suspended between Guwahati and Silchar.

12501 Kolkata–Agartala Express (July 6) will be short-terminated at Guwahati; service suspended between Guwahati and Agartala.

Trains Rescheduled:

13176 Silchar–Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express (July 7) rescheduled to start at 15:00 hrs instead of 11:35 hrs.

14037 Silchar–Anand Vihar Terminal Express and

20501 Agartala–Anand Vihar Terminal Tejas Express (both July 7) rescheduled to depart at 06:00 hrs on July 8.
