2 Militants Apprehended In Manipur

Two militants were apprehended in a joint operation by troopers of Assam Rifles and Manipur police in two different incidents on Friday.

As per reports, the militants belonging to United National Liberation Front (UNLF) and Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) were nabbed in Thoubal and Bishnupur districts.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Rifles said, "ASSAM RIFLES APPREHENDS INSURGENTS OF UNLF AND KYKL IN MANIPUR Keithelmanbi & Khoupum Battalion of #AssamRifles in joint operations with Manipur Police apprehended insurgents of UNLF & KYKL from Thoubal & Bishnupur District, Manipur on 24 Dec 21".

The detained militants were later handed over to the Nangpok Sekmai and Bishnupur Police Stations for further investigation.
