Areca Nuts Worth Over Rs 46 Lakh Seized In Mizoram

A huge contraband of areca nuts was seized by troopers of Assam Rifles at Melbuk-Champhai area in Mizoram.

A total of 240 bags containing areca nuts were recovered, the estimated cost of which is Rs 46,79,200.

The nuts were seized during an operation carried out by a joint team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department, Champhai based on specific information.
