Cache Of Arms, Ammunition Seized In Mizoram, 5 ALP Cadres Arrested

A cache of arms and ammunition were seized in Mizoram's Siaha district late Friday.

Five ALP cadres were also arrested in connection to the seizure.

Based on intelligence inputs, Assam Rifles and Mizoram police jointly conducted an operation at the Kakichua village in the district and recovered one 9mm pistol with magazine, one 9mm revolver, four grenades and 55 live ammunition rounds.

Meanwhile, the arrested cadres were handed over to Lawngtlai police. Investigation is underway.

Earlier today, troopers of Assam Rifles made another such seizure in Manipur's Imphal.

The cache includes one AK47, two CMGs, two 0.32 mm Pistols, two 0.22 mm pistols, eight assorted magazines, thirty-six rounds, and explosives.
