The blast occurred at around 3.30 am today. The IED exploded in front of a godown, said reports.
The blast damaged the gate of the gowdown. However, no casualties have been reported.
Meanwhile, police cordoned off the area. A team of forensic experts also arrived at the blast spot to gather evidences.
No militant group, thus far, has taken responsibility for the blast.
Notably, a similar blast rocked Imphal in Manipur on December 15.
