Jan Suraaj founder and noted political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor sustained a rib injury during a roadshow in Arrah on Friday, after he reportedly leaned out of his vehicle to greet supporters. The incident occurred amidst heavy crowding and jostling during his arrival for a scheduled public meeting, reports said.
Reportedly, Kishor was on his way to address a gathering at Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium as part of his ongoing “Badlaav Yatra” campaign. A large crowd had assembled to welcome him, but the swelling crowd and ensuing commotion led to chaotic scenes near the venue.
Originally slated to arrive at 3:30 PM, Kishor reached the site around 6 PM. It was during this arrival that he sustained the injury, reportedly due to pressure from the crowd while waving to supporters from his vehicle.
Following the incident, Kishor complained of severe rib pain and was immediately taken to a private hospital for treatment. He was unable to address the waiting crowd due to his condition.
Officials from the Jan Suraaj campaign have not yet issued an official statement regarding the extent of his injury, though sources close to Kishor said he is under medical observation and in stable condition.
