The Election Commission of India on Wednesday announced that the Vice presidential election will be held on August 6.
The poll, if necessary, will happen on August 6 from 10 am to 5 pm and the votes will be counted on the same day.
The Election Commission will issue a notification calling the election on July 5. The last date for filing of nomination is July 19.
The scrutiny of nomination will take place on July 20 and the last date for withdrawal of application is July 22.
