As a result, two major trains, the Rangiya–Silchar and Guwahati–Silchar services, have been held up at nearby stations. The landslide has caused significant inconvenience to passengers and interrupted the regular movement of trains in the region.

In response, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has begun restoration work on a war footing. According to sources, efforts are underway to clear the debris, and the track was expected to be made fit for train movement by today. Passengers can expect some delays until the route is fully cleared.

Meanwhile, frustration over repeated delays boiled over at Dotoma railway station on Sunday evening. Passengers, agitated by hours of delay due to a previous landslide, engaged in heated arguments with the station master. In a shocking turn, some individuals reportedly manhandled the station official, with allegations of physical assault being raised.

Authorities have urged passengers to remain patient, as intermittent landslides may continue to affect the hilly route during this period.
