Guwahati: AASU Chief Samujjal Bhattacharjya’s Mother Passes Away at 95

Bina Bhattacharjya, mother of All Assam Student’s Union (AASU) Chief Advisor Dr. Samujjal Bhattacharjya, passed away at the age of 95 due to age-related ailments.

She breathed her last at 11:15 PM on Monday night at her residence in Guwahati’s Kahilipara. Her mortal remains will be taken from her home to her ancestral residence in Sharaniya later in the day.

Several public figures, including Assam Cultural Affairs Minister Bimal Bora, expressed deep condolences on her demise. Bora prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

Well-wishers will pay their last respects at her residence in South Sarania at 10 AM on Tuesday. The last rites will be performed at Navagraha crematorium.
