Guwahati Hit-and-Run: Speeding Bus Mows Down Pedestrian in Lalmati

A man was killed after being mowed down by a speeding green bus in Guwahati’s Lalmati area on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Nomal Das, a resident of Nalbari. The mishap occurred when Das was attempting to cross the road, and the bus hit him with force, killing him on the spot.

According to reports, the bus was travelling from Basistha towards Jalukbari when the accident took place. The driver fled the scene immediately after the incident, leaving the bus behind.

Local police were informed soon after who arrived later and recovered the body for post-mortem. The bus involved in the accident has also been seized.
