Guwahati Shocker: Man Murders Sister-in-Law for Refusing Marriage Proposal

A woman was brutally killed by her brother-in-law in Guwahati’s Bamunimaidam area on Saturday night following a dispute over a forced marriage proposal.

The victim, identified as Galeza Bibi, was the wife of one Kamal Khan. According to reports, she was attacked with a sharp weapon and fatally slashed in the throat by the accused, identified as Sabahmuddin Mondal, around 10 PM last night.

The accused, who works as a carpenter, allegedly committed the crime after returning home in an intoxicated state.

Sources revealed that Mondal had been pressuring Galeza Bibi to marry him against her will. Her continued refusal reportedly led to ongoing tensions between them, ultimately resulting in the fatal attack.

Following the incident, local police arrested the accused and launched an investigation into the incident.
