Actress Shefali Jariwala, fondly remembered as the iconic "Kaanta Laga" girl and a popular face from Bigg Boss 13, passed away at the age of 42. The actress reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest late on the night of June 27 and was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, by her husband Parag Tyagi and a few others. Sadly, she was declared dead on arrival.

The hospital’s reception confirmed the tragic news, sharing that Shefali had already passed before reaching the facility. She was later shifted to Cooper Hospital, where her body was taken for post-mortem.

Renowned journalist Vickey Lalwani confirmed the news on social media, stating: “Shefali was brought dead to Bellevue Hospital. Her husband and three others were with her.” When asked for further information, a doctor associated with the case said he was not permitted to share details about patients.

The news has left fans and celebrities across the country in deep shock. TV actors like Aly Goni, Rajiv Adatia, Monalisa, and Divyanka Tripathi expressed their disbelief and grief online. Divyanka posted, “Still can't process the news about Shefali. Gone too soon. Deeply sad for her husband and the family.”

Visuals from outside Cooper Hospital showed Shefali’s husband Parag Tyagi leaving with a heavy heart, visibly shattered. Later that night, a mobile forensic team was seen arriving at Shefali’s residence in Mumbai, indicating that more clarity may come in the days ahead.

As fans mourn her sudden loss, an old interview clip of Shefali with her friend Paras Chhabra has resurfaced. In it, she spoke with pride about her legacy, saying, “There can only be one Kaanta Laga girl in the world, and that’s me. I love it. And I want to be known as the Kaanta Laga girl till the day I die.”
