Trump Brokers Ceasefire: Israel-Iran Agree to End War

US President Donald Trump has declared a “complete and total” ceasefire between Israel and Iran, with the truce set to begin within six hours.

Making the announcement on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said that both nations have mutually agreed to the terms, which aim to bring an end to the recent wave of hostilities in the Middle East.

“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!” he wrote.

According to the president, Iran is expected to initiate the ceasefire, followed by Israel. The process is structured so that a full cessation of combat operations will be achieved within 24 hours.

“Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World. During each CEASEFIRE, the other side will remain PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL,” Trump stated.

Trump praised the leadership of both nations for their willingness to end the conflict, referring to it as a 12-day war that had the potential to destabilize the entire region.

“On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, ‘THE 12 DAY WAR.’ This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will!” he said.

He concluded the announcement with a message of unity and hope, saying, “God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!”

The conflict was triggered on June 13 when Israel launched “Operation Rising Lion,” a massive air campaign targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites. In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) retaliated with a drone and missile operation dubbed “Operation True Promise 3,” aimed at crippling Israeli air force fuel depots and energy infrastructure.

The situation intensified when the United States intervened early Sunday morning with “Operation Midnight Hammer,” launching precision strikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities.
