Two police officers from Assam’s Dhubri district have been reserve closed following allegations of corruption against them. The action has been initiated by Dhubri Superintendent of Police, Leena Doley.
Sub-Inspector Tapan Deka of Bilasipara Police Station and Assistant Sub-Inspector Sanjeev Mazumdar of Sapatgram Police Station are the two officers against whom the action has been taken.
According to sources, both officers have been relieved of their duties and attached to the reserve branch pending further departmental inquiry.
The decision comes after complaints were received against the duo regarding alleged corrupt activities.
