Import duty on Pak goods hiked to 200%

Centre has increased the basic customs duty on all goods imported from Pakistan to 200 percent with immediate effect on Saturday.

The government in a notification issued said, "Central government is satisfied that the import duty leviable on all goods originating in or exported from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan should be increased and that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action."

Earlier, India revoked the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to Pakistan on Friday following the terror attack on CRPF jawans in Pulwama that killed 40 CRPF jawans.
