Karnataka: 33 Students Test COVID-19 Positive Navodaya School

A total of 33 students have tested positive for COVID-19 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Madikeri in Karnataka's Kodagu. Following the detection of the cases, the school has been declared containment zone.

The outbreak was detected when some students developed fever. The school management made all the 287 students undergo Covid-19 tests and the results were out on Wednesday, reported India Today.

Most of the students in the school in Karnataka who tested Covid-19 positive are asymptomatic. Other students have been asked to isolate for seven days.

The District Health Officer visited the school premises on Thursday and asked parents not to panic.
