Modi asks Bollywood to create films on Gandhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Saturday eveninginteracted with members of the film industry including several of Bollywood'stop stars in New Delhi.

To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi,he asked the film industry to create films and television shows that popularisethe Father of the Nation and his ideologies.

"Gandhi is synonymous with simplicity. His thoughtsreverberate far and wide. The power of creativity is immense, and it isessential to harness this spirit of creativity for our nation. Several peoplefrom the world of films and television have been doing great work when it comesto popularising the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi," said PM Modi.

Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Jackie Shroff, Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandez, Imtiaz Ali, Ekta Kapoor, Anurag Basu, Boney Kapoor, and others were present at the event.
