Shweta Nanda’s father-in-law Rajan Nanda passes away

Amitabh Bachchan's daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda's father-in-law, Rajan Nanda passed away in Delhi, on Sunday night. Rajan Nanda, who is veteran actor Raj Kapoor's son-in-law, was declared brain-dead at a hospital in Gurugram.

Rishi Kapoor's daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to Instagram to confirm the news. She wrote, "You were are & will always remain a legend! Thank you for all the love always – will miss you so much uncle – until we meet again RIP uncle Rajan."

After hearing the news of his death, Big B who was in Bulgaria busy shooting for Brahmastra, left for India. He posted on his blog, "My relative Mr Rajan Nanda, Nikhil's Father, Father-in-Law of Shweta, .. just passed away .. leaving for India."

He further wrote, "Yes, the personal tragedy is now in discloser and transmitted but it had a lead of distress and anxiety and apprehension from a time of some immediate length the obvious nested facts were not pressed into the print of this page, but there were hidden hints of them in it. My hidden heart can bleed within unseen but it takes not away the pain of its emission."

Nanda was also the Escorts Group's, an Indian engineering company that operates in the sectors of agri-machinery, construction and material handling equipment, and railway equipment, Chairman.

Rishi Kapoor's sister, Ritu Nanda is Rajan Nanda's wife, and Shweta is married to his son, Nikhil Nanda.
