747 Supertanker comes in rescue of the Amazon

With the massive outbreak of wildfires in the Amazon, President of Bolivia Juan Evo Morales Ayma has ordered 747 Supertanker to help in putting out the fire.

According to reports, the huge air tanker can carry up to19,200 gallons (72,680 liters) of water or fire retardant.

As per a Reuters report, the Bolivian Defense Minister Javier Zavaleta said, "We believe that with this plane, we can put out the fire". President Evo Morales tweeted in Spanish an hour ago that everything is ready for the Boeing 747 Supertanker to fly over the affected areas to put out the fire.

It is the fifth formal international contract assignment forthe 747. Previously it fought fires in Israel in 2010 and 2016, Mexico in 2011,and Chile in 2017.Reportedly, the aircraft has been leased fromGlobal Supertanker. According to daily newspaper based in Madrid laRazón, thecompany required an upfront guarantee of $800,000 US dollars.
