A dead body was recovered in Lakhimi Nagar at Guwahati's Hatigaon area late Monday.

The deceased was identified as one Milan Chetri who was a painter by profession.

As per sources, Chetri had been missing since November 18. His body was recovered from his rented house which was locked from outside.

It is suspected that the man was murdered.
