The district administration of Kamrup (M) has declared the Office of the Superintendent of Police in Guwahati, Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell, Assam, Swatantra Senani Bhawan, Rupnagar as Micro Containment Zone after detection of significant number of COVID-19 positive cases.
The said area has been declared as containment zone with effect from today for the next seven days to prevent any further spread of the infection. 11 staff of the Superintendent Office tested positive for the virus.
The boundary of the containment zone will be
North- ASTC workshop
South-GMC Road
East-Srimantapur Road
West- Rupnagar Main Road
The administration in a notification said that any unauthorized entry and exit into the Containment Zone are barred for the next seven days.
