The Biswanath police have earned an immense success as a team of police led by DSP Muzaffar Hussain have arrested 10 numbers of gamblers after they received information through internal source.

Police alsorecovered 1lakh rupees, 144 token used in gambling and 104 playing cards. Policealso seized one Hyundai Verna bearing number AS 12K-2811, Honda City bearingnumber AS 01 ED-1036 and one Maruti Swift Dzire bearing number AS 01 BQ-9715along with three motor-cycle.

Police arrestedthe gamblers while they were gambling in a room of a bottle factory at Borkurain Biswanath. The arrested gamblers have been identified as Ratul Bora, AyodhyaGupta, Salam Ali, Bhagabanta Boro (Specimen Collector of Zoology Department ofGauhati University), Dwipen Bora (Peon of Assam Gramin Bikash Bank), ManojShah, Abdul Halim, Kudrat Ali, Halimuddin and Rashid Khan.
