11 injured in Guwahati blast

Atleast 11 persons were injured after suspected ULFA members threw a grenade infront of Guwahati Central shopping mall on Wednesday evening at around 8 PM.

The injured are:
  1. Amulya Ratan Mahato (SSB Jawan)
  2. Ramesh Lal (SSB Jawan)
  3. Bijay Kumar Shah
  4. Fardin Shahnin Rahman
  5. Ahmed Kumar
  6. Amit Khasar
  7. Richa Khasar
  8. Kalyan Baishya
  9. Lala Kumar Yadav
  10. Edward Mamar
  11. Hirakjyoti Barua

Both the SSB jawans along with Bijay Kumar Shah, Fardin Shahnin Rahman and Ahmed Kumar are admitted in the GMCH. On the other hand, Kalyan Baishya, Lala Kumar Yadav, Edward Mamar and Hirakjyoti Barua are admitted in KGMT Hospital in Geetanagar, while Amit Khasar (father) and Richa Khasar (daughter) were admitted in Nemcare Hospital in Bhangagarh.

Meanwhile, senior police officials including DGP Kuladhar Saikia visited the spot of blast. Splatters of blood were seen on the road near the site of the incident which has sent shockwaves across the city. The area has been cordoned off. CM Sarbananda Sonowal directed the DGP to nab the miscreants involved in the incident.
