2 killed at North Guwahati JICA project site

A labour was killed on Thursday and another sustained severe injuries after a heavy plate fell on them while lifting metal for an under construction project of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in North Guwahati near Aswaklanta Temple.

The deceased has been identified as Idrish from Uttar Pradesh.

The accident happened when a crane was lifting the heavy metal onto the construction site.

The injured worker was taken to a hospital nearby. Meanwhile, police began investigation into the accident.
