Three people died on the spot and two more sustained injuries when an over-speeding dumper rammed into Maruti Van near Khowang of Moran on Sunday morning.

Kanakjyoti Saikia, the driver of the van killed on the spot. The other deceased were yet to be identified.

According to the reports, the van was heading towards Charing from Dibrugarh, when the speeding dumper rammed into it.

Meanwhile, injured were rushed to a hospital nearby. A case has been registered regarding the accident.
