Aamrityu wins Special Jury Award at BIFFes

Assamese film Aamrityu (The Quest) has been honoured with Special Jury Award at the prestigious 11th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes) on Thursday. The film was directed by Arup Manna and produced by Nabamika Borthakur.

This year 225 films from more than 60 countries in 15 different categories were screened at the BIFFes. Tamil film Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum, directed by Vasanth S Sai was the winner of the Best Asian Film award.

It may be mention that, Arup Manna's Aamrityu was presented with the Golden Camera for being the Best Feature Film of Northeast at the 2nd Guwahati International Film Festival (GIFF) in 2018.
