AASU-NESO Calls on JD (U) Chief GS Opposing CAB

The representative team of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) and NorthEast Students' Organization (NESO) has called on Chief General Secretary of alliedparty of NDA, Janata Dal (U) K. C. Tyagi at New Delhi opposing CAB.

The JD (U)'s position is still the same on CAB, said the party aftermeeting the AASU and NESO representatives.

The JD (U) demanded to send the bill once again to the JointParliamentary Committee (JPC).

AASU chief adviser Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharyya, President Dipanka Kumar Nath, and NESO leader Samuel Jarwa today met the JD (U) leader at the nation's capital.

Speaking to reporters, AASU Adviser Samujjal Bhattacharyya said that the bill is at the national level although protests erupted in the entire northeastern region against the contentious bill.

The organizations also said that they will discuss the issue to stop the bill from placing in the Parliament with different organizations. We will take whatever possible steps could be taken to stop the bill from placing it in the parliament. We will not accept the CAB at any cost, says AASU and NESO.
