Agatha Sangma Wins Tura

Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People's Party (NPP) president Conrad Sangma has congratulated his sister and party's candidate from the Tura constituency Agatha Sangma for winning the prestigious seat by defeating former Meghalaya CM and senior Congress leader Dr Mukul Sangma.

The Meghalaya CM conveyed the congratulatory message through his social media platforms with the following message, "‪Congratulations Agatha Sangma. NPP is proud of your victory. We wish you the very best as you embark on a new journey to represent the aspirations of the people of Garo Hills."

As per sources, Agatha received 2, 99,774 votes in comparison to Mukul Sangma's 2, 37,547 votes.

Accepting defeat, Dr Mukul Sangma also congratulated Agatha Sangma and wished her the best for her future.
