Pratidin Bureau

With two days left for result announcement, the AGP president Atul Bora said their alliance partner BJP will get a massive victory, while the AGP is likely to draw a blank in the three Lok Sabha seats they had contested.

Of the 14 parliamentary constituencies in Assam, the BJP hadconceded three seats to the AGP and one to the BPF.

Assam BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass on Sunday said that "Wedo not see any chance of our ally AGP winning the Dhubri and Kaliabor seats andthe BPF in the Kokrajhar seat. Even in the Barpeta seat, the chances of the AGPcandidate winning appears to be slim,"

There has been discontent within the AGP ranks over itstie-up with the BJP for the Lok Sabha polls because of the latter's support tothe Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Several leaders and workers, includingformer chief minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, have openly criticised thisdecision.
